What We Do

The Uganda Wheelchair Rugby Federation delivers structured programs that focus on athlete development, rehabilitation through sport, community inclusion, leadership, and international engagement. Our programs are designed to create lasting impact for persons with disabilities across Uganda.

Wheelchair Rugby Development Program

Identifying, training, and developing wheelchair rugby athletes through structured training sessions, coaching clinics, and talent pathways.

Rehabilitation Through Sport

Using wheelchair rugby as a tool for physical rehabilitation, mental well-being, confidence building, and social reintegration.

Community Outreach & Inclusion

Promoting disability inclusion through community demonstrations, awareness events, school outreach, and grassroots engagement.

Women & Youth Participation

Encouraging participation of women and young persons with disabilities in wheelchair rugby through targeted training and mentorship.

Capacity Building & Leadership

Training coaches, referees, administrators, and volunteers to strengthen governance, leadership, and technical capacity within the sport.

International Exchange & Partnerships

Collaborating with international federations, experts, and partners to enhance knowledge exchange and global exposure.
